What is one to DO in Lent?
If one is to update one’s theology, possibly the words of Marshall McLuhan would be fitting to reflect upon:
“We look at the present through a rear view mirror.
We march backwards into the future.”

David Korten suggests that our belief system needs to change. In the new spiritual consciousness, he says, we will turn:
“from a belief that Earth belongs to humans and is ours to consume as suits our fancy to an understanding that Earth is our sacred home and that it is our responsibility to be respectful partners.”*
Theologically speaking, are we “marching backwards into the future?
What is our relationship with Earth?
Where is God is this relationship?
